    Purpose: Produce new accounts and service existing accounts in accordance with Amerisafe General Agency, Inc. (AGAI) goals and procedures.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve new business production, and renewal retention goals for workers compensation to Amerisafe, Inc. as set by AGAI.
    • Generate new business through activity designed to produce qualified leads. This activity should include but not be limited to facilitator development, participation in targeted trade associations, and cold calling.
    • Produce new business to AGAI by generating auto liability, auto physical damage, inland marine, property, cargo, general liability and other coverage lines from existing workers compensation accounts, and new workers compensation accounts as they are produced.
    • Provide complete and accurate information on new and renewal business to AGAI to facilitate the underwriting process.
    • Present proposals of insurance to prospective or renewing clients, as prepared and provided by the agency, in a timely manner consistent with the producer guidelines.
    • Collect all deposits or advance premiums due in accordance with AGAI procedures.
    • Assist the agency / company / and client in the resolution of disputed audits, and the collection of additional premiums due, on accounts produced by or assigned to the producer
    • Provide service to existing accounts in conjunction with the Customer Service Representative of AGAI, and claims, loss control, and audit personnel from the carrier.
    • Attend planning, training, and production meetings as required by management.
    • Maintain awareness of developments within the insurance industry, and targeted trade groups, through review of trade press and attendance at trade meetings when deemed appropriate by management.
    • Perform other specific projects or duties as assigned by management.
    • Pursue a program of personal and professional development to include acquisition and maintenance of all licenses required by state regulatory authority, or deemed necessary by AGAI management.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma required, some college preferred.
    • Vehicle meeting company standards.
    • Well groomed and neat appearance.
    • Ability to travel when and where the job demands, or management deems it necessary.
    • Good written and oral communication skills.
    • Maintain satisfactory driving record in accordance with AMERISAFE’s policy.
    • Compliance with provisions of AMERISAFE Employee Handbook.
